What are the components of a machining center?

1. CNC Equipment

The most widely used CNC machining centers in China are FANUC and Mitsubishi from Japan, and Siemens from Germany. Other commonly used brands include Fagor from Spain, Heidenhain from Germany, and domestic brands such as Huazhong, KND, GSK, and Dadiren. Many other machining center manufacturers use their own proprietary systems, such as Haas from the US, and Mazak, Brother, Okuma, and Makino from Japan.

2. Servo Systems

A servo system is an automatic control system that enables the output controlled variables, such as the position, orientation, and status of an object, to follow any changes in the input target (or given value). The primary task of a servo is to amplify, change, and regulate power according to the requirements of control commands, making the torque, speed, and position control of the driven equipment highly sensitive and convenient.

3. Machine Tool Body

A machining center is generally a machine body (actuating mechanism) assembled from a main casting through processes such as cutting and scraping.

4. Tool Magazine

A tool magazine system is a device that provides the necessary tool storage and changing capabilities for automated machining processes. Its automatic tool changing mechanism and the ability to store multiple tools have changed the traditional manual production method. Through computer program control, various machining requirements can be met, such as milling, drilling, boring, and tapping, significantly shortening machining time and reducing production costs. This is the biggest feature of a tool magazine system.
