Characteristics of Taiwanese CNC Systems
Taiwanese CNC systems—led by brands such as Syntec—are widely used in mainland China. While their performance does not vastly exceed that of domestically produced systems, they hold a distinct advantage in terms of superior stability and higher precision. Although they may lack the extensive feature sets of imported systems, they are capable of meeting the requirements of virtually all low-to-mid-range machine tools, offering an excellent balance of price and performance.
Imported CNC Systems
Among imported CNC systems, Siemens, Mitsubishi, and Fanuc are the most prevalent brands; they are renowned for their stability, low failure rates, and high performance. While imported systems offer far more powerful capabilities than their domestic or Taiwanese counterparts, they also come at a significantly higher price point. Siemens systems, in particular, stand out as arguably the best in the industry. These imported systems are typically utilized in mid-to-high-end machining centers.
Characteristics of Domestic CNC Systems
The development of domestic CNC systems began much later than that of Taiwanese or international systems, resulting in some technical shortcomings by comparison. Most domestic systems are used in low-end machine tools; their performance is generally average, but their low cost makes them a suitable choice for this market segment. However, domestic systems are not as poor as one might imagine; the leading domestic brands actually perform comparably to Taiwanese systems, with their main drawback being relatively lower stability.
