1. Selection of Fixtures and Determination of Clamping Methods for High-Speed Machining Centers


Operating Points: Before clamping, use a dial indicator to align the machine vise and secure it. Ensure the workpiece is positioned in the middle of the vise jaws, with the workpiece being machined extending 14mm above the jaws to avoid interference between the tool and the jaws. When clamping the workpiece, prevent it from floating upwards; use a rubber mallet to tighten it.

3. Machining Process


Use a 32mm end mill for rough milling of the cylinder, leaving a 0.5mm machining allowance on one side; use the M06 command to switch to a 14mm end mill for semi-finish and finish milling of the cylinder; rough mill, semi-finish mill, and finish mill the crosshead to the specified dimensions; use the M06 command to switch to a 90° countersink to machine the chamfer C1.
